Welcome to the LYFE In A Backpack or what is know to many as Backpack Buddies Program! Our mission is to provide children in need with nutritious meals to ensure they have the support they need to thrive. Join us in making a difference by helping to pack and distribute backpacks filled with food each week. Together, we can help nourish young minds and a brighter future!

School & Summer Programs

EB LYfe knows that for students to succeed, they need more than a drop-in, part time program. They need support before and during class, after the bell rings, and beyond – services the public education system just can’t afford or provide.

When school lets out, LEI’s instruction continues. We provide homework tutorials, enrichment classes, performing arts, computer instruction, and recreation from Monday through Friday.

Also our 6 week summer program engages hundreds of students in classes, music, athletics, field trips, performing arts and internships.

Leading Ladies Mentorship

How many times have you thought to yourself, "If only someone would have told me....." Leading Ladies is a network of strong women ready to equip, educate and empower other women and our next generation to walk in greatness. To provide a nurturing mentoring environment and positive relationship building for tween/teen adult girls and women.

Lion's Pride Male Mentorship

Lion’s Pride is a male leadership group for students in the middle and high school students. Our mission is to provide male role models for young men who aspire for greatness. This group will be encouraged to challenge themselves to move from good to great in all aspects of life. Our desire is for this group to take pride within themselves, to dream big, to achieve the a minimum 3.0 G.P.A, and become leaders in our community .

LYFE Pride Unity Circle

This circle program provides a safe and supportive environment for all youth with expansive gender identities and sexual orientations and their allies. It actively counters isolation, internalized self-rejection and other adverse health and mental health effects on LGBTQ+ youth due to marginalization. Unity circle is for LGBTQ+ youth of all gender identities, sexual orientations and allies: transgender, cisgender, nonbinary, gender non-conforming, agender, gender fluid, gender questioning, two-spirit: gay, bisexual, lesbian, straight and pansexual ages 9-18.

Parent University

Using the various curriculum and researched based strategies we provide individuals with effective skills for successful parenting. Throughout the program, individuals will participate in discussions regarding such topics as: teaching through modeling, effective praise, natural and logical consequences, cultural discipline, single parenting, parenting approaches and the developmental abilities of children
